linka iS ALWAYS looking for committed, hardworking volunteers with a heart for migrant and underserved communities.
Below are the current list of Links’ Projects. Please get in touch if you’re interested in helping with any or all!
Links Preschool: Volunteers are needed to work with children ages 3-6 in a preschool in Munnekollal. Links is also looking for help facilitating workshops during the Monthly Mother’s Meetings on various topics of concern for the community, such as health and hygiene, nutrition, staying safe, substance abuse, among many others.
Healthcare Team: Volunteer are needed to work in the community providing basic first aide, and partnering with government Primary Health Centers and NGOs to provide vaccines and medical care.
Hospital Advocacy Team: Volunteers are needed to assist patients and their families who require surgery or medical interventions in hospital settings. This includes advocating on behalf of patients with doctors and administrators at government hospitals, supporting patients throughout the entire hospital treatment process, and keeping detailed patient records. Attention to detail, tenacity, and patience are very helpful!
Administrative Team: Volunteers who have excellent administrative, computer, spreadsheet, website, and/or other skills are needed behind the scenes to keep Links running smoothly. If you like to organize, are ambitious, can write, and working from home is your thing, then this is the role for you.
Needs Assessment Team: Volunteers are needed to help with a large-scale, month-long community engagement project. Hindi and Bengali speakers needed.
Outreach Team: Volunteers are needed to help connect with organizations/individuals who are doing similar work to form collaborative partnerships. Hospitals, clinics, other NGOs, government officials, etc. are all on the agenda.
Fundraising Team: Volunteers are needed to help raise money for Links. 100% of funding comes from donations. If you love to plan new and exciting events, this team is for you!
