Linking underserved communities with high quality medical care.

Medical treatment for children in at risk communities:

Children from at risk communities in Bangalore suffer from various, often serious medical conditions and illnesses, such as heart conditions, hearing impairment, neurodegenerative diseases, severe malnutrition, among many others. They often do not have access to or knowledge of quality healthcare.

Links Trust works closely with NGOs and doctors to identify these children, support their families' hospital visits, and with your help, to cover the costs of needed surgeries and/or treatment. For many of the very difficult cases Links supports, the process for obtaining quality medical care is not a simple or easy one. It is time consuming, thankless, and more times than not, lifesaving. Links must identify a medical condition, take the patient and family to the hospital for diagnostics, find the appropriate hospital for the medical condition, stay with the patient and family during often long hospital stays, advocate for patients with the doctors and hospitals, empower families to advocate for themselves, and often pay several thousands of US dollars for treatment. It does not stop there. The family must be supported once they again return home. This is a big undertaking, and one that Links cannot do without your valuable support.

If you would like to help, please consider sponsoring a child's medical treatment.

Other ways you can help:

A great way to build a relationship with a family is to volunteer for hospital visits. If you would like to help out by visiting an admitted child, supporting and empowering families during doctor's visits, or providing food or toys for children, please email Links at linkscharitabletrust@gmail.com
